Cesar, you're very brave. You must have noticed that here in the Comments section, we are quite alone (for now); we cannot become so encapsulated in fear that we will no longer step foot beyond our lodge.

CEBDA: Justice, Governance, Authority were fresh on your mind when you made your choice; these are masculine traits. Faith factors largely in your choosing since it comes second in line; the nature of that faith is yours. The passing on of knowledge is in the middle (The Crossroad). Money and finance takes on a somewhat lesser role, although no less important. The nuclear family occupies your final choice - do not overlook this. Without either end there cannot be a middle. A house is built on its foundation.

We could go on, but space is limited here; maybe a dedicated post, or even a series?

This exercise is diabolic in the extent of its mystery; the more we puzzle it out the deeper the mystery goes. None the less you made your choice and it is now your identity for eternity. Of course we can code switch easily and we do to mimic our surroundings, and this is entertainment, so none of this is real.

To summarize: your choice turns out to be quite interesting, outside common patterns, you might be someone other than the image portrayed to the outside world.

And thanks for your reply.

Share this - it is a useful tool when contemplating a relationship or entering into partnerships.

This is too much! I was minutes ago thinking about sending you to that post (right hand over my heart true), to get to know you better. Give me a bit, have to digest this.

Kind of reeling in awe, so be patient with me, can't stop laughing long enough to concentrate on the monumental task you set me to.

No rush. Some energy swirling around. I know why I chose what I chose at a conscious level, but maybe you have insight beyond that. Laughing is great!

Let's start by saying you somehow have defined S&UP in real and concise ways by proving there is a filament which joins human experience and transcends classical physics. Beyond that I have no reasonable explanation for these experiences other than to say strange and unusual happens, and these events have recurred all my life; so much so that I neither question nor romanticize but view it as simply normal and natural. It is however awe inspiring.

Your first pick indicates a strong tendency toward finance or economies in some sense, or maybe sowing and reaping, a thing only you can reconcile.

Your second pick relates to education, the pursuit of wisdom or maybe a curiosity that drives you. Or a desire to teach by learning (the student/teacher).

Governance seems to emanate from your core (the crossroad) since it occurs in the middle; not governance in the classical sense (since you are anything but) more like order, self-governance.

Faith or piousness is your fourth choice, maybe religiosity or belief in a greater being or greater reality. Another matter for your own interpretation and your own governance is the arbiter of your faith.

Your final choice is family, not in a way that assigns an order of preference, but maybe forces beyond our control, and this is where Nature is the final arbiter.

Since all of this is time stamped, we might not even be the same people we were moments ago and interpreting you is beyond the scope of any adherent.

But your choices are yours, see them as you choose.

Yes, I have these experiences too. I can think of someone I want to connect with and within days I hear from them. I think the universe helps things along as I'm a bit leisurely in acting on things. But this was quite immediate, which I have to agree is awe inspiring. Like, what...

That analysis is pretty spooky too, won't explain letter by letter but pretty much yes.

My conscious reason for choosing those letters was D is a strong and decisive letter to lead with, and it's also reaching out to you with the beginning letters of your name. B and C are letters that like to be together -- when you think of ABCs, A is the lead singer, but B and C are the rhythm section and play with one another, don't want to be out front. The EA combination is in so many great words and it's also a natural and happy combination, unusual at the end like this so that's fun for those two letters, and ends on a very upbeat note. (Think rhythm and lead guitarist jamming.)

It has also occurred to me that one reason for our resonance is that my extended family on both sides hails from northern PA around Montrose, Union Dale, and Carbondale -- and they were farmers on both sides. My grandparents migrated after marriage up to the 'big city' of Binghamton (Endwell is the suburb I grew up in) where there were more economic opportunities after ww1. I heard many stories from my great aunt of life on the farm (as she was my mother's age and died recently), and we even went to tour around that area so she could see landmarks of her youth.

Besides that, my maternal grandparents had a small cottage on a lake just off Rte 267 south of Lawton PA. My parents bought the little shack next door but never did anything with it and sold it. But we visited my grandparents' cabin all through childhood and loved it there. A small lake, no motorboats, swimming and rowing, a beaver dam, snakes, BBQs, my grandma was a wonderful cook, cousins aunts and uncles, bats getting in the cottage, running wild -- it was heaven.

We also had vacations visiting places like Hershey Park and Amish country. So I have a lot of wonderful childhood memories of that neck of the woods. I'm thinking of driving down to see the lake again and take some photos. That final letter 'A' being family is therefore eerie, as revisiting roots for their wisdom and lessons has been very much on my mind. (Especially as, because of the pandemic and fearing potential loss of family, I moved back to the US after living in the UK for quite a few years. I had expected to live there permanently. But now see I was meant to come back, although I still don't feel rooted, hence the search for what the heck am I meant to be doing. Also hence the substack about rock music and revisiting the music of my youth!)

Self-governance from the core? Yes, tumultuous childhood -- almost died in the Susquehanna River at age 3, angels watching over me, got stuck in the mud at the edge, my dog Betsy led my parents and the police to me, an adult child at an early age because the adults were not reliable for safety or advice. Which was a gift in that I learned early how to take care of myself physically and emotionally and how to stay calm, stable, and optimistic even in the midst of crisis (which was around me throughout childhood).

Now you know more about me than you probably wanted, but I have read posts about your childhood (your trials and tribulations with your stepfather -- I'm very sorry for what you went through) and thought you might be able to relate in some way.

I'll stop before I write a tome, which I am very capable of doing if left unchecked.

You have my respect and admiration, having taken the deep dive into this portal, you know me well, though of course I will admit to none of it. It seems most people will skim or stay with whatever is most recent. As for me, it depends; sometimes I’ll go back to earliest posts to learn a bit about who’s behind the curtain or go to most recent to comment.

But I read my own stuff more than any other and go back often and laugh cry howl at the moon.

You have a friend in Pennsylvania.

As we both know, writers and musicians are storytellers and we gift our stories rather than own them. As my brother calls it, we are confarsinators, a word he coined that I've stolen from him (with permission) and I think sums it up nicely.

You also have a friend wherever I am, a place where bears and lynx roam, men cherish their chainsaws, and freedom is prized above all else.
