Works is an American Farm
There are more images of the American flag in Unsplash (stock photos) than any topic searched so far in these pages; they seem to go on forever.
We don’t discuss politics here in S&UP simply because there is no immediate resolution to be had, only conflict. We are a conflicted people. Yet WORKS resides in America, my homeland and my people.
We could say that our current President Joe Biden is best described as a stow away: stow away, hide on ship, etc. to get free trip. (Random House) But we won’t.
We could point out that The Chinese Communist Party is the model for American politics in the present and coming years; but that would be pointless in light of being so ludicrously ridiculous, so we won’t. Or that we are experiencing a cultural revolution forwarded by design from foreign and domestic influencers, a Fifth Column to lay the groundwork for conquest. But that would seem nonsense; so we won’t say it.
S&UP is all hocus-pocus and Candy Land, so we won’t point out that farmers are under siege everywhere around the World because of a climate change hysteria that pundits talk much about and do very little to enact real solutions; the very same pundits who are the super consumers of dwindling resources. We could say that policy makers have effectively drained away American’s wealth and rendered our currency progressively worth less and less while spoiling our dreams for a prosperous future. But you know that already, don’t you?
Prediction is easy when we examine the patterns, that’s why our history and culture are being erased. The criminal mind is the simplest of all because they announce their intentions and their actions are then, well, criminal. But that’s not what S&UP is about, so we won’t go there. We could say that by all indicators we are headed for a dark period in history; but that would only be a matter of historical record, so it’s mute.
We could go completely off the rails and inform you our government has elected a new population to replace the original while claiming their reasoning is a declining birthrate, while enabling the abortion of six million children since Roe vs Wade. But we don’t have a dog in that fight.
Maybe we should say that our language, folkways, faiths and fortunes have all been usurped by an overreaching and all-consuming permanent political class whose only goal is enriching themselves and remaining in power. But let’s not.
Memorial Day
While the media debates the merits of Bud Light and the sufferings of Aunt Jemima as they disarm Yosemite Sam and plunder American pride, take a look at the image above and consider the real price of boots on the ground. We might say that our youth is our treasure and hope for the future, and that squandering it on wars without outcomes is criminal when the real fight is here. On this ground, for these people. But we won’t say.
That’s because despite all this there are larger issues, those of the spirit. We’ll gladly take this opportunity to pay homage to The Spirit of America.
And since Nature will always seek a balance.
Country Wit and Wisdom
Karma is a bitch.
The only image of Justice.
Besides this one.
Phew! Felt good to get that out.
A wise ass once said "politics is a lot like stepping in dog shit, sticks tenaciously to the lugs of the boots, good to scrape a bit of it off".
That second justice picture is quite ominous.
