We’ll start off with a performance by the Schoharie County Concert Band featuring SemperFi’s little girl in First Seat Jazz Drummer (she also holds a physics degree). She’s got the chops, and you can hear her chime in around time stamp 3:00.
Her’s is a household filled with the sounds of music, and we hope to hear more from this musical family.
We’ll embrace all manner of music here since the moment music becomes a controversy it’s no longer about the music.
Think there’s a little House of the Rising Sun there in the opening piece.
Now being a hillbilly, my playing is nothing to crow about; but the sound of the strings on a fine old wooden guitar just never gets tiring. History comes to life when allowed to seep through the din and clatter of everyday habit like an old friend, always there, always willing to speak.
