SemperFi’s OLG (other little girl) brings home some classic rock right here in open mic and doin’ a good job of it. Shaking up the D chords of we old timers.
Oh man, gonna’ have to up my game if this keeps going! Have the feeling these folks are just warming up. And where did they get all those nice guitars?
SemperFi lays a little superstition on ya’all, and he’s still down a finger on his fret hand!
Looks like we have a triple threat here folks.
Now, it’s not like we’re recording artists; fact is we don’t spend a lot of time on this, we just show up with our ten thousand hours of playing, and where you really want to be is in the same room because that’s where it’s happening. We have live music anytime we want. Sorry about your luck, you need to change that.
There’s no point composing a rhapsody about ourselves, that’s not who we are; music is just something we do - we do other things as well. The music idols would garner more respect for themselves if they shared a bit of that sentiment.
Anyway, call me humbled. Haynt better stick with what he does. Explore…
It could be said music is in itself a protest, to at times the mundane nature of living, or the terror of it, an act of defiance or deliverance - a vehicle by which to pierce the vail of the temporal world and transport us into one without constraint, so that no matter our belief we can still know beneficence.
Music begets music and the generations assure its survival.
So, remember: no matter when, no matter where or what, someone somewhere is frying potatoes.
This post sponsored by S&UP and Dead Strings Productions. Big thanks to SemperFi and his OLG, Haynt Blue (for staying in his lane) and Ellen from Endwell for pointing my compass back to the music, and especially you who represent 20 U.S. states coast to coast and 9 countries. We know you’re there.
Producing this is not free (by a good margin) and is offered as our gift to you. Please give something back by clicking that like button or leaving a comment so we continue to bring you real music by real people.
And consider throwing in with us, we’re not superstars, and this isn’t a competition.
To The Penguin Cafe Orchestra, “we go way back”.
