I'm aware of turning all patriot lately, though nothing new, we are just in a brief period where we don't have to be ashamed to call ourselves Americans.
Seen the anti-American sentiment more than once before, most of it deriving from youthful rebellion and racist rhetoric. The current levels of indoctrination are far beyond anything in my lifetime; critical thinking is dead and gone, and we are at the brink of warfare. Preventing war is my new occupation.
The Declaration of Independence is the greatest protest document ever written and when studied is quite valid in the present - these rights aren't granted by any government but are granted by creation alone. But that very independence must be defended, that's the missing link today, and if defeated independence will never return.
In the words of the combat warrior "ignorance is not just bliss - it's paid for in blood".
I think the problem is differing opinions as to who the actual enemy is. And if you see my latest post, about who's actually in charge and pulling the strings behind the scenes. There is a lot of writing about that at the moment, and it's hard to know where the buck actually stops and the ultimate power and control really lies as there are many conflicting theories. I have my own theories, but that's all they are. I now wish I had studied history, but then I'm sure I would have gotten the official narrative and the received wisdom, not the truth.
Sorry for the rant, but at least I get to live a little here in the comments. Even my own family members have no sense of humor over the politics anymore, beyond that of a sporting event or popularity contest.
Things really went downhill since the Mueller investigations when he showed up at his own hearing with dementia, unable to recite any of his (alleged) own report; that's when it became crystal clear the only goal is to get the seat (by any means) and election is the prize. Auto-pen anyone?
It's all spin and spin is spin. We'll never discover the truth because they don't want their truth to be discovered. Just follow the money.
The population by and large has more in common than not, it's their news sources and geography that chooses their bubble, people are very programmable.
C-SPAN is non-profit and allegedly non-partisan (although they do lean distinctly to the Left) but they are required to air all sides, and so they do.
Instead of secondhand news, why not get it directly from the horse's mouth with cameras rolling right there live in real time, that way you get the body language (we're dogs, we read body language). Since all news is now politicized, all other sources are just echo chambers - noise.
Thanks for posting that. Good to be reminded of what it says and how important and relevant it remains.
